Cape Howe News:

Book Early for Holiday Seasons

Being in the middle of the busiest time of year has prompted us to remind holiday makers to book well ahead for the peak holiday seasons particularly around Christmas, New Year and early January. Sadly, we had travellers without pre-booked accommodation phoning and dropping in hoping to stay and being fully booked we weren't able to help them. Even the Albany and Denmark Visitor Centres had nothing left to offer. Generally at this time of year, bookings are finalised at least 2 - 3 months ahead, in fact we already have confirmed bookings for this Christmas & New Year 2013! So, the message is plan ahead, book early and don't leave home without knowing that you have somewhere to stay otherwise you could end up sleeping in your car!! Or, better still make your holiday plans for later in January when things are quite so busy.

Lonely Planet Guide

We were thrilled to discover that in the newly released latest edition of the Lonely Planet Guide for Perth & West Coast Australia, we are listed as one of the "Best Places to Stay" and the "Top Choice" for accommodation in the region. Just recently many guests have been telling us that they found us in the Lonely Planet Guide so now we've seen it for ourselves and are rightfully "chuffed"!!

The Lonely Planet Guide states: "Our promise...You can trust our travel information because Lonely Planet authors visit the places we write about, each and every edition. We never accept freebies for positive coverage, and you can rely on us to tell it like we see it."

Cape Howe Reviews: A selection of comments from our guest books.

So relaxing. A perfect way to celebrate Jeza's 32nd and my completing of my first teaching term. We had pizza for dinner, a spa for dessert and a nice bottle of red. A bitter-sweet stay. Loving every moment, yet the thought of real life lurking in the background. Yet, real-life feels miles away. That's the beauty of this place. Hope to return and stay more than one night next time. Thank you so much Gaynor and David for providing us with such a luxurious, relaxing and romantic stay. 20 out of 10!! It's that good.

Brooke & Jez, York WA

Seldom are we idle and a visit to this part of the country was just what we needed. I think we are "tanked up" on the rest and relaxation - just in time for the chaotic months to come. Loved the delicious home cooked meals, the spa by candlelight and very comfortable bed, and waking up to birdsong. Highly recommend the property walks, star gazing and checking out the nearby beaches. And we especially appreciated Gaynor and David's gracious hospitality. Thanks for a lovely time…. In 29 years of marriage, we agree it's one of our favourite times away as a couple.

Jody & Dave - Perth

A rare piece of paradise nestled amongst the trees. Your warmth and engaging manner is refreshing in a somewhat saturated market of mediocre hosts and establishments. If we ever get back this way again, we'll certainly stay here again.
