Cape Howe News:

Seriously "Wicked" Winter Warmer

Now's the time to plan a quick winter getaway and pocket a discount. Throughout July, stay 3 nights or more and save $20 per night off each night or better still, stay 3 nights or more throughout August and save $50 per night!!! That's serious extra pocket money for you to spend on local goodies such as a lovely lunch platter at The LakeHouse in Denmark, an indulgent treatment at the new Mt Romance Spa or enjoy a few bottles of local wine tucked up in front of a log fire at your cottage. Better yet - order a room service curry, pie or old fashioned Bangers n Mash and we'll deliver it hot, ready to eat and you'll still have change left over.

Winter is a great time of year to avoid the crowds and seriously relax. Here's a few ideas:

  • Enjoy brisk walks through bush dripping from overnight rain then back to a hot steaming shower.
  • Snuggle in front of a cosy wood heater with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book.
  • Watch stormy seas thunder against giant cliffs.
  • Tour local vineyards away from the peak season madness.
  • Look for whales and dolphins romping playfully in the turquoise sea off Lowlands Beach.
Three nights just isn't long enough.

Cape Howe Views: Winter Treats @ Lowlands Beach

Cape Howe Reviews: A selection of comments from our guest books.

So relaxing. A perfect way to celebrate Jeza's 32nd and my completing of my first teaching term. We had pizza for dinner, a spa for dessert and a nice bottle of red. A bitter-sweet stay. Loving every moment, yet the thought of real life lurking in the background. Yet, real-life feels miles away. That's the beauty of this place. Hope to return and stay more than one night next time. Thank you so much Gaynor and David for providing us with such a luxurious, relaxing and romantic stay. 20 out of 10!! It's that good.

Seldom are we idle and a visit to this part of the country was just what we needed. I think we are "tanked up" on the rest and relaxation - just in time for the chaotic months to come. Loved the delicious home cooked meals, the spa by candlelight and very comfortable bed, and waking up to birdsong. Highly recommend the property walks, star gazing and checking out the nearby beaches. And we especially appreciated Gaynor and David's gracious hospitality. Thanks for a lovely time…. In 29 years of marriage, we agree it's one of our favourite times away as a couple.

A rare piece of paradise nestled amongst the trees. Your warmth and engaging manner is refreshing in a somewhat saturated market of mediocre hosts and establishments. If we ever get back this way again, we'll certainly stay here again.
