“Cape Howe Cottages – WA Regional Small Business Awards Winner”

David & Gaynor Clarke, owners and operators of Cape Howe Cottages, are thrilled to have been named WINNERS in the WA Regional Small Business Awards – Micro Business category presented by the Small Business Development Corporation. The announcement was made at a Gala Presentation Dinner at the Burswood Entertainment Centre on Friday 14th November, 2008 with Cape Howe Cottages being the only business representing the tourism industry at the awards.
These awards are open exclusively to those businesses who have already won a category in their local, regional business awards event. Cape Howe Cottages entered the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Awards and in February 2008 won the Business with 1-4 Employees category which automatically progressed them further as nominees in the WA Regional awards.
Gaynor and David are approaching the tenth anniversary of establishing their business at Lowlands Beach, midway between Albany and Denmark, and are proud that their hard work and dedication throughout this time has been recognised. “The whole experience has been an enriching process and we encourage every small business to take the time to enter awards programs such as this and just enjoy the journey” Gaynor said. “We certainly enjoyed the celebrations on Friday night after only just making the event in time. We arrived back from an overseas trip an hour before the announcement was made – we walked into the room and almost straight up onto the stage! What a night!”

We needed to relax,unwind and recharge and that is certainly what happened once at Kings Den. We have truly enjoyed our stay and really felt comfortable - the only negative was having to pack up and go home!
